T&D Podcast #21 – Doug Jones

First there was Lon Chaney, then Boris Karloff, and now we have Doug Jones.

Doug Jones is the new Man of 1000 Faces and the perennial favorite of Guillermo del Toro.

Doug has a list of credits a mile long, but is probably best known for his appearances in Pan’s Labyrinth, Hellboy, and will be playing Lt. Saru in the new Star Trek: Discovery series coming soon.

He will also be appearing in del Toro’s new film, The Shape of Water. Make sure to watch out for that one.

Speaking of Guillermo del Toro, he is asking fans about whether or not he should make Hellboy 3, so make sure to get on his case and tweet that you want to see Hellboy 3 here.

Doug is probably the nicest guy on the entire planet. I mean that. We met on the set of a short film called Side Effects year ago and became good friends, but over the year we drifted apart and he got increasingly busy and eventually took completely off in his amazing career. Years went by, and in this conversation, you’ll hear us catching up for the first time in probably over decade.

Here is our conversation. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did.
